Biography of Bireli Lagrene

Born into a musical family, Bireli Lagrene began his incredible journey by learning the guitar and participating in festivals of gypsy music. Winning first prize in Strasbourg, he recorded 'Route to Django' on tour in Germany, accompanied Stephane Grappelli and Benny Goodman and meets Jaco Pastorius in 1985. But if it is then revealed to jazz fusion, this does not prevent him from going through the rock - 'Inferno', 'Foreign Affairs' - acoustics -' Acoustics moments' - and be-bop - 'Standards '!

Receiving the 1993 Django d'Or for Best French musician, he released the sublime 'Jazz in Marciac' in 1994 and pays tribute to his master 'My favorite Django' the following year.
